We’re three full-time musicians who turned a longtime local cafe into something new — a space where creative energy flows as freely as the coffee. Inspired by vintage record stores, neighborhood jazz clubs, and third-wave coffee culture, Altered State is part-cafe, part-creative haven.

Guitarist • Songwriter • Café Co‑Owner
Cory’s a songwriter with over 5 million Spotify streams and an American Idol nod under his belt. His sound blends blues, rock, and pop—rooted in feel, not flash. He’s spent years teaching guitar and co-writing with producers and fellow artists, and even took a detour into real estate investing along the way. Big Hendrix fan. Big Purple Haze fan (the drink, too). At Altered State, he helps shape the soundtrack, the space, and the vibe — and can usually be found behind the bar pulling shots and pouring latte art with rhythm and style.

Vocalist • Designer • Coffee Curator
Anastasia’s known for her lush harmonies, warm melodies, and 70s-inspired soul. Her debut album Girl with the Hourglass Eyes drew praise for its vintage flair and honest storytelling. With over a decade of wedding and corporate gigs behind her, she brings artistry and presence to every space. At Altered State, she shaped the MCM aesthetic, curated the playlist, and heads up the coffee side — crafting the menu, developing house-made syrups, and dreaming up drinks like the Golden Lady, a Stevie Wonder nod in a cup.

Chris is a multi-instrumentalist with a sharp ear and a deep feel for guitar. With over 15 years of experience, he’s played everything from touring gigs to solo weddings, blending classic rock, R&B, jazz, and classical influences. He also writes, produces, and teaches with a focus on making technique and theory accessible. At Altered State, he pulls espresso, fixes what’s broken, and sips on the Walking on the Moon — a blueberry latte named after his favorite Police song.
